Your eCommerce store needs to be visited by the right people in order for you to get sales.

To drive traffic, you will need to:

  1. Pay for it - By using ad platforms like Facebook, Google, Bing, etc to bring relevant people to check out your store and products.

  2. Have a social following - If you have large social following on Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms such as these, you can drive organic traffic from these sources and get people to visit your store.

In most cases, people don't have an already existing large social following they can use to drive traffic...
So in this article, we'll cover some of the popular paid options out there you can successfully use to get relevant people to buy your products.

1. Facebook ads

Facebook ads is probably the most used platform to drive traffic by Dropshippers worldwide, and it's not by chance that almost everyone starts with them.

Facebook ad platform is very beginner friendly and you can easily pick up the relevant audience you need by using their suggested targeting options.

Facebook is the King of data and they're really efficient at collecting consumer data to make the life of advertisers, that's us, much easier.

2. Google Ads

Google ads has always been around but for some reason, it was neglected by many Dropshippers.

The reason to that is that Facebook ads was still pretty cheap and working wonderfully so they didn't have any need to test other ad platforms.

Nowadays, Facebook isn't that cheap anymore and it requires much more learning and testing to have successful campaigns.

So what we see now is that a lot of dropshippers are leaving Facebook for Google. Or at least, they're testing new paid methods to see which one works best.

All I can say is that if done correctly, Google can be a really powerful tool and it's about time people learn how to use Google ads.

There are a lot of successful Dropshipping Youtubers that can teach you for free how to use Google ads. So don't go buying any Google ad courses please!

3. Youtube Ads

Youtube ads is gaining some popularity right now in the Dropshipping community but it's still quite small. If you have time and want to have a real advantage over everyone else, learn right now how to drive traffic using Youtube ads.

With Youtube, you can do both video ads to be displayed in relevant videos or even text ads to be displayed in the search results.

It's true the video ads on Youtube are hated by people but it doesn't mean they don't work - From the results we've seen so far, Youtube ads are working really well and there are no issues converting people into buying customers.

There's no reason for you to not test your products using Youtube ads, so get to learning and sales will come!

4. Bing ads

Similar to Google ads but much less popular are Bing ads. Microsoft's search engine which is used by default on internet explorer/edge browser.

It works the same way as Google ads where you bid per keyword but in Bing's case, it's much less expensive!
It also has less monthly searches but there is a lot of potential here.

And more than the potential, there's a lot of money to be made here - If the bid on Google is too expensive for you, consider switching to Bing ads and trying your luck there.

5. Reddit ads

It's not by chance Reddit is called "the front page of the internet"... It's a HUGE social community with billions of unique visits a month.

Reddit is a forum with a pretty simplistic design and it works in the upvote/downvote way.
โ€‹
Good and unique content is getting upvotes, thus appearing on the HOT/TRENDING pages. Bad content is getting downvotes and is quickly gone from the eyes of its readers.

What's good about Reddit are the subreddits which are basically niches around various topics. You can find subreddits about cats, gaming, books, and almost everything you can think of.

This subreddits can be targeted by the advertisers thus giving us the ability to pinpoint very passionate audiences that are likely to buy.

But before jumping to Reddit ads, there's something really important you need to know:

Reddit users are known to really hate ads! So in order to succeed, you need to change your general approach and not copy the same strategy you're using on Facebook or Google.
